WHAT IS SCULPTRA?

• Sculptra® is an injectable polyLlactic acid (PLLA) biostimulator that gradually encourages your skin to produce collagen—helping to restore facial volume and improve skin structure over time.

• It’s FDA approved in the U.S. (since 2009) for correction of facial volume loss, nasolabial folds, and wrinkles, including fine lines in the cheek region following approval in April 2023.

• Results develop gradually over several months and can last up to 2 years, with some practices stating longer benefit when touched up annually.

 

HOW IT WORKS

• The injection works not by adding volume directly (like hyaluronic fillers), but by stimulating your body’s own collagen production, rebuilding structural support in the skin over time.

• Visible lifting or firming tends to appear around 1 to 3 months post-treatment, with maximum impact over 4–6 months.
